In 1999, after a couple of years fiddling with that blogging thing on various other people's domains, I thought I had enough things to say to merit my very own corner of this here interweb. In 2007, I suddenly ran out of ammo. Thankfully, that didn't last forever... So, I'm back. Still not dead yet. Like a phoenix from the ashes. Behold.

Why do people insist on buying canary yellow sportscars? Seriously, try as I might, I can't come up with a single line of reasoning to back this up. It's completely inexplicable. Why, if you're going to spend $50,000 on a brand spanking new Corvette, would you want it to look like a motherfucking taxi? Why? The president of one of the companies I worked for back in the late 90s had a yellow Dodge Viper. It was hideous, but visible. Maybe that's the point, but if so, it's a dumb one - sure, people are more likely to notice you if your low-slung souped-up super-coupe is fluorescent in color, but then again, people are also a lot more likely to notice that you're a complete fucking retard.

My roommate is one of those guys with a bright yellow sports car. Even worse it's a Mitsubishi Lancer. It is hideous. When we go out in it he always thinks that people are envyous of it. More then likely they are making fun of him.
More insane people drive yellow cars than any other color. Insurance companies did a real study on car color preference--ie, red cars get the most speeding tickets, gray cars are in the most accidents, and for some reason yellow is the preferred vehicle color of the mentally unstable.
